Red River Co-op’s annual Fuel Good Day on September 16 has once again demonstrated the power of community, raising a record-breaking $130,000 to support Manitoba Possible’s Assistive Technology program. This milestone reflects Red River Co-op’s deep commitment to building stronger, more inclusive communities.

“We’re deeply grateful to Red River Co-op and their members and customers for making this year’s Fuel Good Day a record-breaking success,” says Lindsey Cooke, CEO Manitoba Possible. “Through their incredible support we will expand access to essential assistive technology to children, youth and adults in communities that Red River Co-op serves, ensuring full and equal participation for more Manitobans.”

This donation will directly transform lives, allowing Manitoba Possible’s to expand their Assistive Technology program. Whether it’s a power-assist device that enhances the independence of a manual wheelchair user, or an iPad that helps someone communicate, assistive technology opens doors and breaks down barriers to inclusion.

“Fuel Good Day reflects the heart of our Co-op,” says Craig Gilpin, CEO, Red River Co-op. “It’s about members, customers, and team members uniting around a shared purpose. Together, we’ve turned every litre, every cup of coffee, and every donation into real impact, helping Manitoba Possible expand access to life-changing assistive technology for our neighbours and communities.”

Since Fuel Good Day’s launch in 2017, Red River Co-op’s has contributed more than $595,000 to local non-profits. Each year, Red River Co-op donates a minimum of five cents per litre of fuel sold, alongside proceeds from Big Cools, Co-operative Coffee, car washes, and customer donations at tills in Gas Bars and Food Stores, all fueling positive change across our communities.
